Whether you’re just interested in showcasing a solo burlesque act or you want to start a troupe and produce your shows, this 10-week immersion into the art of show production will give you all the tools you need to overcome any obstacle – and get your art onstage!
You can even take a shot at hosting or group act choreography. Gain real-life experience doing burlesque and elevate your creative process!
Show dates are pencilled in for Feb 10 and 17.
Time Commitment:
Production Meetings (optional): Thursdays, Dec 7, 14, 21, & 28 from 6:30-7:30 pm - virtual
Rehearsals (everyone): Thursdays, Jan 4, 11, 18, 25, Feb 1, 8 from 6:30-8:30 pm - virtual + studio TBD
In December, we’ll focus on production aspects - writing, hosting, graphics, media, budgets – anything behind the scenes. I will break down budgets, venue search, contracts, graphics, promotion, media outreach, and everything that happens behind the scenes to make a show successful!
Then in January, we’ll gather with the performers to put the show together, and each artist will receive personalized coaching and support on their burlesque act (or contribution).
Artists that register before before Dec 1 will also be invited to perform in the next Sacred Tassels on Sat, Jan 6.
